Brentford are close to signing Michael Kayode on loan with an option to buy from Italian side Fiorentina.
The right-back started his career in Juventus’ academy and spent time with Italian lower league club Gozzano before joining Fiorentina in 2021.
The 20-year-old has made 12 appearances for the Serie A side in all competitions this season.
Kayode has represented Italy at youth-team level and scored the winner against Portugal in the final of the Under-19 European Championship in 2023.
