Former midfielder who captained Blackburn Rovers to the Premier League title in 1995 and later joined Tottenham under George Graham. Helped Portsmouth win promotion in 2003 and later returned to Spurs as a coach, before being appointed boss in December 2013. He would only last six months before being sacked, but returned to management in February 2015 with Aston Villa.
