UFC 312 weigh-in results: Du Plessis, Strickland cleared for title rem

UFC middleweight champion Dricus Du Plessis and former champ Sean Strickland made weight Friday (Australian Eastern Daylight Time) before they square off in the UFC 312 main event Saturday in Sydney.Du Plessis and Strickland both weighed in at 185 pounds.Strawweight champ Zhang Weili and challenger Tatiana Suarez were also on the mark for the co-main event. The UFC announced during the weigh-in show that the opening fight on the early preliminary card between flyweights HyunSung Park and Nyamjargal Tumendemberel was canceled due to Tumendemberel’s weight issues, per MMA Junkie’s Nolan King. Neither fighter stepped on the scale during weigh-ins.
