BOSTON, MA—The Boston Red Sox today signed infielder Alex Bregman to a three-year contract through the 2027 season. He will wear number two. To make room on the 40-man roster, Boston placed left-handed pitcher Patrick Sandoval on the 60-Day Injured List.
Bregman, 30, is a two-time All-Star (2018-19), two-time World
